The Goth kids rarely attend classes and prefer to sit around all day drinking coffee and smoking. They constantly talk about how pointless and painful life is, and they frequently write poems about death and sorrow. They take to calling those who are not goths "conformists" or "Britney Spears/Justin Timberlake wannabes". The Goth kids continually talk about "the conformists", whom they strive to be different from, yet, paradoxically, all conform to Gothic clichés themselves, and they claim that the best way to be a nonconformist is to act exactly like they do. The Goth kids are easily provoked, and are very protective of their image.
